Brussels Immanuel Sunday Service Meditates on the Parable of the Talents

On March 12, Brussels Immanuel Church offered a graceful Sunday service to God with the scripture Mathew 25:20-30.

Pastor Apollos delivered the message which is about the parable of the talents, in which a master gives his servants varying amounts of money, or “talents,” to invest while he is away. When the master returns, he evaluates how each servant has fared with his money. The first two servants who invested their money and doubled it are praised, while the third servant who buried his talent and earned nothing is scolded and thrown out.

He emphasized, “the parable teaches us that God has given everyone talents, and it is up to us to identify them and use them wisely. We should not waste our time and talents but instead strive to gain more and bear fruit in our lives. The third servant who buried his talent was scolded for not using it to gain more, and we should learn from his example to use our talents to the best of our abilities. In addition, we should also remember the importance of taking risks and not being afraid to try new things to bear fruit in our lives.”
